(Printable) A Checklist for a Wedding Venue Site Tour

A Site Tour of Your Wedding Venue is Essential to Your Wedding Day

A thorough site tour (virtual or in-person) of your wedding venue is essential to the success of your wedding day. Keep in mind that you should check out the outside and the inside of your wedding venue. You want to be sure that you see the actual event space where your wedding ceremony and/or reception will take place. Don’t forget to check out the bathrooms! Ensure that there are enough bathrooms to accommodate your guest list and the bathrooms should be presentable. You should make sure that your wedding venue complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act. And, you should make sure that you feel safe in (and outside of) your wedding venue.

When you tour the venue, make sure that you are participating on a tour of the venue with an official representative from the venue. And, you should do your research in advance to ensure that you are able to ask the best questions possible. Having a checklist for your wedding venue site tour (or site visit) is key.

A Site Tour Checklist Created By A Professional Wedding Planner

Having a checklist available with you is crucial because you will have a better understanding of what to look for and you will be able to ask educated questions. When touring the venue, use the wedding venue inspection checklist that you can find in our Wedding Ceremony Planning Guidebook to keep you focused on what’s logistically important.

When you are done, you’ll have all of the details related to your venue site visit in writing. And, that makes it easier for review (and comparison) when you return home.
