She said that there’s no need to purchase it until right before your wedding occurs, right?

Your Insurance Coverage Doesn’t Begin Until the Contract is Signed and Payment is Made

If you ever wonder WHEN you should purchase your wedding planning insurance, consider this. Your coverage begins as soon as you sign on the dotted line and make payment.

If you don’t purchase wedding planning insurance until right before your wedding, but the dress shop holding your wedding dress burns down in a fire two weeks that, there would be no insurance coverage for the loss of your wedding dress.  Why?  Because the fire took place before you secured the insurance. Now, it is basically a pre-existing condition.
