Last week, I had the pleasure of attending an industry event at the Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC. One of their many treats was a “crudité garden.” It was a creative take on a very typical reception display.
This display was exceptionally yummy because the garden “dirt” was made of hummus and olive tapenade.
As you plan your wedding menu, it’s okay to select some of the tried and true food favorites. But, I recommend allowing (or encouraging) your chef to come up with some creative ways to pair it or display it. Pinterest and tumblr are great photo resources for ideas.
