If you follow this blog, you know that one of my favorite drinks to make when I entertain is a two-ingredient low-calorie recipe for strawberry lemonade.
But, since the 4th of July holiday is upon us, I wanted to add a little vodka to the situation. Why? Well, I am counting weight watcher points again, and I don’t want to feel left out when cocktails are being served.
This refreshing drink is a total of 110 calories (worth it!), and by our estimation only four (4) WW points! I know, I know, four points may seem like a lot after you have used points for breakfast and lunch. — But, it’s liquor made from potatoes. Literally.
Here is the easy, peasy recipe for you. Once you try it out, let me know what you think.
- First, place the contents of a 16-ounce bag of frozen whole strawberries into a pitcher
- Pour two (2) 52-ounce bottles of Minute Maid Light Lemonade (it’s only 15 calories per serving!) into the pitcher.
- Pour yourself a glass of the strawberry lemonade into a large ice-filled glass
- A 1.5 ounce shot of vodka into the glass
- Stir and garnish with strawberries and lemons
- Serve
Oh! One more thing, here is a list of the most popular vodkas on the market with their number of calories. On average, a 1.5 ounce shot of vodka contains about 100 calories.
