Authored Two Articles for “Bowie Life” Magazine

Earlier this fall, I received an unexpected yet deeply meaningful invitation from the editor of Bowie Life Magazine. They asked me to write an article focused on office holiday parties, which is a topic that blends creativity, strategy, and community, three things that live at the heart of my work. As someone who not only serves the Bowie, Maryland business community but also proudly calls Bowie home, saying “yes” felt like a natural extension of the love I already have for this city.

Writing this feature stirred something familiar and joyful in me. Long before planning luxury weddings and unforgettable corporate celebrations, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Arts from Hampton University. Journalism shaped my early voice as a storyteller, and this assignment felt like a homecoming. The editor loved the piece so much that he invited me to write a second sidebar article, but this one highlighted creative ways to weave social media into your office holiday party, company celebration, or corporate seasonal event. I happily said yes again.

Last night, when I opened my mailbox and saw the November issue of Bowie Life tucked inside, my heart did a little dance. There is nothing like seeing your work in print—especially when that work speaks to the community you cherish.
