Hosting a Wedding or Event at the Oaks Waterfront Hotel

Yesterday, I shared that I had an opportunity to attend an event for Wedding Planners at the Oaks Waterfront Hotel in Easton, Maryland. The theme of the event was “summer citrus,” so prepare to enjoy lots of juicy orange and yellow colors.

But first, let’s talk about a couple’s wedding experience at the hotel.

Please check out the photo below. This is where most couples choose to hold their wedding ceremony. What a pretty view.

The wedding party could begin the processional at the main property or one of the cottages. From there, you would proceed over the cutest bridge and down this brick pathway.

Your cocktail reception could take place on the lawn, on the back porch or in the structure on the water. It all depends on the size of your guest list and your imagination. At the wedding planner event I attended, the ballroom and the back porch were used for the cocktail reception. But, I could easily envision dinner and dancing in the ballroom too.

Before I go on any further, I need to give a virtual “shout out” to the banquet staff during the reception. They were absolutely lovely. I felt welcomed by them the minute I entered the ballroom.

By the way, there was an essential oils table at the wedding planners reception. How cool is that?

This structure on the water was a perfect location for our dinner, and it was designed with such gorgeous precision. The table linen was provided by Nuage Designs, the flowers were provided by Sweet Root Village, and the exquisite details were provided by White Glove Rentals. Chef’s Kiss!

It was a great evening! Two words of advice. Use up all of the hotel’s sleeping rooms for your family and wedding party. Staying on this hotel property seems like it would be a great experience.

Also, the venue offered valet parking, but I would encourage guests to stay at a nearby hotel. Then, you can offer a shuttle service so they can party freely. Enjoy!
