I’m claiming it friends! Today is Tequila Tuesday! Goodness knows we could use it.
If you know me, you know I love a unique and yummy mimosa! (Have you seen the recipe I created a while back for mimosa smoothies!) Don’t get me wrong — I love the orange juice and champagne option just as much as the next lady. But, you have to mix it up every now and then so life doesn’t feel stale. So, I am excited to share that I found this Mexican Mimosa recipe on the Don Julio Pinterest page. I made it and enjoyed it with Chris Wooten’s famous breakfast tacos, and I think this mimosa option is a definite winner!
This recipe calls for Don Julio tequila, but you are welcome to use your favorite tequila instead. If you do use a different tequila, be sure to let me know how it turns out.
Ingredients for the Mexican Mimosas
- 1½ ounces of Don Julio Blanco
- ¼ of an ounce of Agave Nectar
- ¼ of an ounce of Lime Juice
- ¾ – 1 ounce of Grapefruit Juice

Instructions for Making the Mexican Mimosas
- Dip your champagne flute rim into a little bit of flavored sugar or garnish it after you make the drink
