A Modern Take on “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star”

Earlier this month, the professional event planning team at Howerton+Wooten Events team had the honor of designing a sweet birthday party dessert table for a gorgeous first birthday party. The theme of the party was “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star,” so we used that theme to design the dessert table.  The banner and the paper flower gave the design a contemporary twist.  Don’t you just love the banner with the song lyrics on it?

The Birthday Party Colors Were Pink, Cream and Gold

The party colors were pink and gold. We carried out the party design in special touches that created by LePenn Designs. The special touches includes personalized napkins, favor tags, and the tags for the celestial-themed cookie pops.  Other special touches included the personalized cake topper and star-shaped drink stirrers. When it came to the color palette, we added a cream color to the pink and gold for balance.

A Contemporary Birthday Cake from Baked & Wired

The amazing birthday cake was created by the uber talented bakers at Baked & Wired. Baked & Wired is a wonderful bake shop, located in Georgetown, Washington DC. As always, we placed the birthday cake on the most adorable cake pedestal. If you know me, you know that I have an infinity for cake pedestals.

A Dessert Table That Felt Both Feminine and Young

The rest of the treats from Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken, The Sweet Lobby and Goosie Lou Designs were the perfect complement to anyone’s sweet tooth!
