Today’s Drink Recipe of a Family Favorite — The “Arnold Palmer”
Tomorrow is our 4th annual slip and slide party. So today’s drink recipe is a family favorite. Actually, I would even call it a neighborhood favorite! It’s the Arnold Palmer! This unconquerable mixture of iced tea and lemonade was actually a southern classic long before the golfer, Arnold Palmer, entered the world! But who cares! Calling it an Arnold Palmer is funny to me, and that makes the drink taste a little bit better!
Now, this drink was created for the entire family to enjoy. But, no one is stopping the grown-ups if they wanted their Arnold Palmer beverage to have a little extra “kick” to it. Consider making a second batch for the adults and add a little bit of vodka or rum to it. Just make sure that you keep your “adult version” of the drink separate from the batch made for the kiddos.
Ingredients for an “Arnold Palmer” Recipe
- Ice
 - One-half (½) cup Lemonade
 - One-half (½) cup of Iced Tea (my guys prefer sweetened Iced Tea)

Instructions for the “Arnold Palmer” Recipe
- Place the ice in a tall glass.
 - Fill the glass halfway with lemonade
 - Top with the with iced tea
 - Throw in a straw and a sprig of fresh mint and you are good to go!
