Recently, I had the honor of planning a brunch to welcome local wedding planners to Prince George’s County’s newest gem, the Wellspring Manor and Spa. This boutique retreat beautifully redefines what it means to rest well by blending elevated comfort with intentional, restorative wellness. Nestled on seven serene acres in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, the Wellspring Manor and Spa invites their guests to slow down, reconnect, and savor the thoughtful details designed to nourish their weary spirit.

A Table That Featured Citrus Colors Balanced with Chinoiserie Accents

I absolutely love designing outdoor tables! Knowing the brunch would unfold beneath the open sky, I envisioned a table setting bursting with the energy of summer. That includes bright, joyful hues of yellow, orange, and fuchsia, balanced with timeless chinoiserie accents. The citrus-inspired palette felt both fresh and sophisticated. But, my favorite detail of all was the charming miniature ginger jar place card holders from Williams-Sonoma. These place card holders are quickly becoming a favorite detail of mine.

The Delicious Meal Served at the Brunch Was Top Tier

The food served at the brunch was exquisite! The creator of the brunch menu was the talented young chef, Danielle Harris (aka Chef DMH). Chef DMH is based in Washington, DC, and she founded DMH & Company, a private dining and catering service. Her career includes working under Iron Chef Stephanie Izard in Chicago and she also founded Little Food Studio, a grab-and-go cafe.
