White Bean and Collard Green Soup Recipe

Are you looking for a fun way to spice up your New Year’s Day meal?  Check out our White Bean and Collard Green Soup recipe on the lifestyle section of the MunaLuchi Bride web site.

This Recipe is a Throwback Thursday Treat

This is a little bit of a Throwback Thursday because this recipe originally posted on the MunaLuchi Bride web site on January 2014, but it is sure to fill your stomach today too. So, pair this soup with a glass of red wine and some delicious crusty bread to add the “money” to your New Year’s Day meal!

A Little Background to the New Year’s Day Traditions

According to southern traditions, each ingredient in your New Year’s Day meal serves a purpose. The black-eyed peas are for good luck, collard greens are supposed to bring in dollar bills and cornbread represents gold.  So, eating each of these Southern staples on New Year’s Day is supposed to guarantee a prosperous year!
